Roberto Troni
Roberto is Co-Managing Director/Executive Producer/Head of Drama at Various Artists Limited. He has worked as a script editor, producer and development producer at various independent production companies (Tiger Aspect, World & Ecosse), and for the BBC and ITV/Granada, on shows including The Bill, Playing the Field, Murphy's Law, Murder City, Prime Suspect 6, Holby City, Saddam's Tribe, Mistresses, United & Pulse.
Prior to forming VAL he was a commissioning editor in the Channel 4 drama department for more than 6 years where he worked on a variety of shows including Hollyoaks, Shameless 7-11, Misfits 5, This Is England '86-'90, Fresh Meat 1-4, The Fear, Complicit, Babylon (C4/Sundance co-production), New Worlds, Secret State, The Aliens, No Offence 1&2, Gap Year (C4/Hulu co-production), Loaded (C4/AMC co-production) and The End of the Fucking World (C4/Netflix co-production).
Since forming the company, he has served as an Executive Producer on ‘Our Girl - Series 4’ (BBC Studios for BBC1) and the multi-award winning ‘I May Destroy You (BBC/HBO)
